Piscines

As the name suggests, this bay on the north side of Keri Coast looks like a swimming pool because of its light blue and translucent waters.

There are so many wonderfully colored waters in Zakynthos, but this place gets the top prize. Diving is a must and so are the beach and the grottos. The best way to get there is leaving from Limni Keri. Do not miss it if you are in the area.

St. Andreas

This is a very interesting islet on the western side of the island connected to Zakynthos by a stone path.

The ruins of an old monastery on the hillside are worthy of note. The monks nicknamed the passage to the island “the death leap”. There are interesting rocks and a nice beach on one side and 2 marvelous grottos in a more sheltered area on the other.

Elation

This beautiful and peaceful place is located near Volimes Village on the northeastern coast.

A huge wall protects the north side of the beach, but you can approach it by car from the other side. Beautiful grottos and a gorgeous sea invite you to swim and explore.

It is a great stop when you take a tour from Agios Nikolaos Port to Navagio. The very interesting islet of Saint Andreas is close by.

Agalas Village

Agalas is a small village nestled in the mountains of Zakynthos’ southwestern coast.

Like its neighbors, it produces excellent olive oil and wine locally.

While there, take the time for a pleasant visit to Damianos Cave Tavern and the cave located less than 5 minutes from the restaurant.

Agios Leon Village

Like the other southwestern mountain villages on Zakynthos west coast, Agios Leon is located on the non-touristy side of the island.

The simplicity of that rural area and the magnificent nature are typical of the region and enchanting.

Anafonitria Village

If you enjoy handcrafts, do not miss visiting this attractive village near Navagio.

It is pleasant checking out the stores that sell handmade products, honey, olive oil and typical Greek rugs.

Take the opportunity to see the interesting Anafonitria Monastery situated at the exit of the road that takes you to Vromi Port.

Beach Clubs

The Beach Clubs are located on Zante’s southwest coast.

Their beaches have nice sand and they feature water sports and the convenient infrastructure you need to enjoy your day: sunbeds, umbrellas, drinks and music.

Ammos on the small beach of Agios Nikolaos with a charming little church on the left point and Banana Baya on the adjoining beach are outstanding!

Bochali

This village above the city of Zakynthos sits on a beautiful hill and offers a marvelous view of the city and the port.

It is a very nice and cheerful place with good cafes and a pretty little church worth the visit. Spiti tou Lata, one of the best restaurants on the island, serves lunch and dinner in that great atmosphere.

The Venetians built the castle you will find right above the village. They finished the construction in 1646. The Winged Lion of Saint Mark, the symbol of the Venetian Empire remains at the main entrance.

Cameo Island

Nice spot for a drink.

This islet, an interesting rock formation with a sandy beach ideal for relaxation, is situated on Laganas Bay. It is connected to Agios Sostis by a charming wood bridge. It offers a beautiful view of Marathonisi and chances are you will be able to see the turtles from there. There is an admission fee to enter this place.

Venetian Castle

Walking around this castle feels like you are striding through a park.

Buildings and ruins tell the story of the people who occupied this Ionian Island throughout the centuries. Even though there is not much left it is worth visiting this interesting place.

The view of the city of Zante on one side and Zakynthos plain on the other, provide a beautiful vista.
