IF YOU ARE NOT IN A HURRY AND YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GREEK HISTORY, WE RECOMMEND YOU RENT A CAR AT THE ATHENS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
A three and a half hours drive (210 miles) will take you to Kilini Port to catch the 1-hour ferry ride to the port in downtown Zakynthos.
The road trip will give you the pleasure of visiting charming and important places such as Corinth, Nafplio, Epidravos and Olympia. It is worth including them in your itinerary.
If you are in Kefalonia, you can also catch a ferry to Zakynthos. Leaving from Pessada, it sails by the Blue Caves and docks at the beautiful Agios Nikolaos Port.
You can also take a ferry from Bari or Brindisi in Italy.
