Koiliomenos Village

This typical Greek village snuggled in the mountains is attractive and tempts you to try the olive oil and wine produced locally.

The Abelostrates family serves typical Zakynthos cuisine from 5:00 p.m. on in their farmstead. It is worth visiting this charming spot.

Marathias

Marathonisi creates a fascinating scenario right across from Marathias.

This pebble beach next to Keri Port is really nice. The water is fascinating and nature is nearly intact in this area. The access to the beach is not the easiest, but it is worth the effort. You can rent a couple of sunbeds for 10 euros there. Turtles are always swimming around that spot and you may get lucky and have the chance to swim with them.

Maries Village

This little village hidden in the mountain, away from the touristy corridor, is as charming as its neighbor Exo Hora.

You can reach the beautiful beaches of Vromi Port and Stenitis from there.

Windmills

Two windmills perched on a cliff near Agios Nikolaos and the Blue Caves are nowadays a hotel and a restaurant.

It is worth taking the many stone steps that lead down to the sea, but be ready for a tough workout. A dive in that nice water and the beautiful view are great rewards for all the effort. Once you are down you can swim to the Blue Caves.

Monastery of St. Andreas

It is intriguing walking around this mystic place.

The ruins of this monastery built in 1641 stand as a very interesting historic landmark.

Located at Volimes area it grants a marvelous view of the islet bearing the same name.

PANAGIA SKOPIOTISA MONASTERY

A remarkable historic landmark.

If you are in the Argassi area it is worth visiting the ruins of the monastery built in the XV century on top of the remains of the temple dedicated to goddess Artemis.

Shipwreck view point

Simply dazzling! One of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world, if not number 1!

Walk the top of the cliff to observe the beach below from different angles. From one specific spot, you can see another beach right next to Navagio. You cannot get down to the shore from there unless you base jump!

The Panagiotis ship, which sank there in 1980 and remains nestled on the beach, is truly Zakynthos and Greece picture perfect postcard.

Be extra careful not to get too close to the edge of the cliff when you take your pictures (especially when taking selfies), since there is no protection whatsoever! That makes the visit even more exciting…

The view from up there is gorgeous no matter what the weather is like. Nature is so generous in that part of the world that sometimes the sea is as colorful under gray skies as it is on a sunny day.

Do not miss seeing Navagio from above!

Pillbox

These quite interesting ruins are what is left of a sentinel tower.

You get there by taking a narrow road out of Exo Hora.

You cannot drive down to sea level, but it is worth taking the trail. There is no beach at this place, however, the view of the bay and the sunset are stunning from the belvedere.

Plakaki

Down there you have the feeling you are walking on the moon!

A narrow winding road connects Agalas to this beautiful and unusual place. The view from the top is stunning. On one side, you have an impressive great wall, responsible for the name of the place, plakaki, which means wall tile in Greek. On the other, you face Agalas Coast with its cliffs and grottos contrasting against the colorful sea. We recommend you take the path that goes downhill to sea level.

ARGASSI BRIDGE

The Venetians built it in 1805 and named it the Venetian Bridge.

The ruins of this stone bridge in front of Argassi Beach is an important icon in Zante.
