This is nature’s work of art; indeed, the most beautiful beach in the world!
Entering Navagio Bay is breathtaking. The sculpted cliffs, the unique color of the water and the vegetation create an unbelievable scene. There is a more private beach on one side (we do not recommend you stay there because of falling rocks), a grotto with a beautiful view on the other and the main beach in the back.
Boats from all corners of the island, from Zakynthos Port located on the opposite coast to Vromi Port nearby, travel to this touristy spot where the famous shipwreck happened in 1980. The most practical way to get there is by leaving from Agios Nikolaos (approximately 30 minutes), but if you like sailing leave from Limni Keri and spend a full day cruising this beautiful area (be aware, you may run into choppy seas).
Special tip: get there before 9:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. The sun set from the beach is magnificent and that is when the place is not so crowded, which makes a huge difference.
